• Information Technology Services
   

  The IT Department includes all aspects of technology for the Lake County Health Department. Services in the IT Department include: desktop computers, laptop computers, network servers and equipment, remote connectivity, phone systems, fax machines, printers, productivity software, clinic management software, and other equipment and software that is used in our offices.

• Budget Management
   

  The Budget Management Department coordinates and provides technical assistance in the planning and management of the Lake County Health Department budget.

  It prepares and coordinates the spending plan, and takes the lead in preparing and managing the Core Contract between the State of Florida and the Lake County board of County commissioners. Budget Management coordinates Medicaid cost based reporting, cost allocation, revenue accounting/cash balances, budget analysis, and cost analysis.

• Finance and Accounting
   

  Finance and Accounting provides accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other fiscal/accounting services to the Lake County Health Department. The Finance and Accounting Department strives to deliver high quality, efficiency, and professional management services to all of its stakeholders. It is committed to maximizing revenue and minimizing costs to ensure best use of federal, state, and local funds. Finance and Accounting provide a strong financial foundation to the Lake County Health Department.

  Accounts Payable: This department processes invoices in support of the service delivery system to the community. Under Florida Statue 215.422, the state has 40 days to pay an invoice for commodities or services, and the average time for the Health Department vendors is 7-10 days for payment from the date the invoice is received.   Accounts Receivable: This department is responsible for billing self-pay, sliding fee scale clients with outstanding balances, and other state and local agencies. It is also responsible for billing Medicaid, Medicare, and Third Party Insurance for medical services. For more information call: (352) 589-6424, ext. 2258.

  Fiscal Accounting: This department is responsible for FLAIR transactions, financial statements, travel, internal control procedures, year-end processes, and other fiscal activities performed in the Lake County Health Department. For more information call: (352) 589-6424, ext. 2237.

  Contract Management: This department prepares contracts, solicits and analyzes bid/proposals, negotiates terms of contracts, monitors provider compliance, reviews provider invoices for payment, and maintains contract files. For more information call: (352) 589-6424, ext. 2267.

  Facilities Management: This department provides upkeep for buildings, equipment, and grounds while ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
