The Budget Management Department coordinates and provides technical assistance in the planning and management of the Lake County Health Department budget.
It prepares and coordinates the spending plan, and takes the lead in preparing and managing the Core Contract between the State of Florida and the Lake County board of County commissioners. Budget Management coordinates Medicaid cost based reporting, cost allocation, revenue accounting/cash balances, budget analysis, and cost analysis.

Finance and Accounting provides accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other fiscal/accounting services to the Lake County Health Department. The Finance and Accounting Department strives to deliver high quality, efficiency, and professional management services to all of its stakeholders. Accounts Payable: This department processes invoices in support of the service delivery system to the community. Under Florida Statue 215.422, the state has 40 days to pay an invoice for commodities or services, and the average time for the Health Department vendors is 7-10 days for payment from the date the invoice is received. Accounts Receivable: This department is responsible for billing self-pay, sliding fee scale clients with outstanding balances, and other state and local agencies.
