Mom Care is a program that
works to improve birth outcomes and infant health by providing
medical coverage for uninsured pregnant women.
MomCare can assist with information
on resources for:
- Childbirth education
- Parent education
- Breastfeeding education
- Nutrition education
- Healthy Start Program
- Smoking cessation
- Parent Education
Some services Mom Care provides
are:
- Facilitation of Healthy Start Screening,
program explanations and benefits of program
- Facilitation of WIC (Women, Infants and Children)
- Identify special needs and provide any necessary
information or referrals
- Referrals to local Pediatricians and Family
Practice Physicians
- Referral to Medicaid OB providers
- Information on Family Planning Services in
community
- Providing information on Medicaide Eligibility
