Finance and Accounting provides accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other fiscal/accounting services to the Lake County Health Department. The Finance and Accounting Department strives to deliver high quality, efficiency, and professional management services to all of its stakeholders. Accounts Payable
This department processes invoices in support of the service delivery system to the community. Under Florida Statue 215.422, the state has 40 days to pay an invoice for commodities or services, and the average time for the Health Department vendors is 7-10 days for payment from the date the invoice is received. Accounts Receivable
This department is responsible for billing self-pay, sliding fee scale clients with outstanding balances, and other state and local agencies. It is also responsible for billing Medicaid, Medicare, and Third Party Insurance for medical services.
